# Privacy Policy — TimeTrack

## In short

TimeTrack is a tool for logging hours and field movement. **All data stays on the user's device.** The app does not transmit data anywhere, does not store it on publisher or third‑party servers, and uses no analytics or advertising.

## What data the app processes

All data is stored locally on the device (Android Room database) and never leaves it:

- **Location (GPS)** — for automatic time-on-site recording and route generation. Collection only runs while the user has explicitly started a tracking session.
- **Call history, SMS, calendar events, contacts** — optional import for automatically matching worked time to customers. **Off by default**; the user must enable each source in settings.
- **Manual time entries** — whatever the user logs manually.

## Cloud sync

The current release does **not** transmit data to any cloud service. We plan to add optional sync over an encrypted HTTPS connection to a server operated by the publisher in the future; it will be opt-in, the user will give explicit consent, and this policy will be updated before the feature is enabled.

## Third parties

The app uses no analytics, no ad SDKs, no crash reporting, and no other third‑party services. If we add analytics or ads in the future, this policy will be updated and the user will be asked to consent.

## Permissions and their purpose

| `INTERNET` / `ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE` | Reserved for future cloud sync (not yet used) |
| `POST_NOTIFICATIONS` | Active-tracking notification |
| `RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED` | Resume active tracking after device restart |
| `REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS` | Prevent Android from killing the service during long shifts |

## Children

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

## Data deletion

All data is removed by uninstalling the app or via **Settings → Delete all data** within the app.
