## Email hosting

Email hosting works like web hosting but for your mail rather than your website.

### Antivirus protection

Every message arriving at our servers is scanned by an antivirus engine before delivery. Mail that is pure virus payload never reaches your inbox; if a file inside a legitimate message is infected, only the offending attachment is stripped and a notice is added to the body.

### Spam filtering

Our mail systems analyse every incoming message and quarantine anything classified as spam — unsolicited commercial mail. Customers can opt into server-side spam filtering so junk never hits the inbox. While no filter catches 100% of spam, ours is tuned to never quarantine legitimate mail and typically removes thousands of unwanted messages per day, with a leak rate under 1%.
